Saint Lawrence the Martyr
Parishioners of the Catholic Church, and as members of the parish of St. Lawrence the Martyr, we are children of God, members of the Mystical Body of Christ, disciples of Christ, and sheep of His flock. We have a mission, both as individuals, and also as a parish family, to be instruments of His peace, and to bring His Gospel to every nation. It is my hope and prayer that we may be united as a family, united in one faith, in prayer, and in charity; as Jesus prayed, "Father, let them be one, even as we are one."
St. Lawrence was established in 1967, and Mass was celebrated for several years at Edison High School until the present church was built in 1970. Over the years, St. Lawrence Parish can look back on many years filled with every grace and heavenly blessing. The Biblical forty years in the desert was a time of testing and purification for Moses and the Twelve Tribes, but they were led unerringly by the mysterious pillar of fire to the Holy Land. Let us keep our eyes on the true "Light from Light," Jesus Christ; and, as we make our pilgrimage through life to our true homeland in Heaven, let us pray for one another, as members of the same flock.

Please consider how our Lord has graced you and your family; then consider how He wants you to participate in the life of our parish family and the broader community of the universal Church, the family of God. There are many opportunities to join your fellow parishioners in adoration and worship of Our Lord, and in service to His people, the flock that He shepherds. St. Lawrence parish is your spiritual home, and here, like the Wise Men, we have come to adore Him. Fr. Christoper J. Mould, Pastor
